Point Value

This section answers the following questions:

What does point value mean?

How does point value impact me?

How do I impact the point value?

How does the company calculate the point value?

How do I calculate my monthly earnings?

Where do I find the point value for the month?

What it means:

Point Value is a term that describes the value of a point in a given month on the Trunited platform.  To calculate the point value, Trunited takes the total payout pool and divides it by the total number of earned points in a given month.  At the end of each month, a user is paid an amount equal to multiplying their total points by the point value.

More Background and Detail:

Because the point value is a representation of the success of the platform as a whole, Trunited users impact the point value up or down based on monthly shopping activity and expenses.  In addition to shopping rewards, Trunited awards bonus points for actions that save the platform money in an effort to motivate its users to assist it in creating the largest payout pool possible.

Examples of bonus point rewards actions include shipping savings using The Trubox Club (10%) or Pick-Up at the company’s local pick-up locations (12.5%), and transferring earnings to a Trunited Gift Card (5%), which saves the company in merchant bank fees.  These actions account for thousands of dollars per month in to the payout pool to be paid out to platform users.  Trunited plans to add more bonus point rewards opportunities to the platform as it grows knowing that millions of dollars are hanging in the balance for users to earn or have it go to big shipping companies and banks.

The Point Value is posted by the 7th day of the month for the previous month of business and can be found by logging in to your account, selecting “Business Dashboard,” and then clicking “Point Value.”  This section displays the history of Point Value for the company.

“With a point value of 25 cents this month and 1000 total points earned, I will make $250!”

Example A:

A Trunited user earns 50 profit points in a month from shopping through the platform.  The Point Value published by the company that month is 20 cents per point.

50 Total Points x $0.20 Point Value that month = $10 earned

Example B:

A Trunited user earns 100 profit points in a month.  In addition, because they have personally referred 3 people who have earned 50 points each, they have qualified for the marketer match and earn 1 level of Depth Credit.  So, the total number of points for this user that month is:

100 Personal Points + 3 X 50 Match Points = 250 Total Points

The Point Value published by the company that month is 20 cents per point.

250 Total Points x $0.20 Point Value that month = $50 earned

Example C:

A Trunited user earns 250 profit points in a month.  In addition, because they have qualified for the marketer match and earn 6 levels of Depth Credit, the total number of earned match points is 12,000 from 120 shoppers in the network.  So, the total number of points for this user that month is:

250 Personal Points + 12,000 Match Points = 12,250 Total Points.

The Point Value published by the company that month is 20 cents per point.

12,250 Total Points x $0.20 Point Value that month = $2,500 earned
